The original hotel was built in 1872 in Fillmore, Utah. It was a 24-room building made of local brick. It also held a fine dining room, and an in-house barber shop. It was, at one time, considered the finest hotel in Southern Utah. The reconstructed hotel is a scaled-down version of the original hotel.
