EDWARD SNELGROVE BOOT SHOP / DESERET TELEGRAPH OFFICE

Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, 1857
Built in 2001

Though not an exact replica of the original boot shop operated by Edward Snelgrove, the building provides a great example of a much-needed pioneer craft. The original shop was located near the corner of Main Street and 200 South in Salt Lake City. Edward’s footwear was in constant demand and was worn by prominent people including Brigham Young. Adjacent to the boot shop is the Deseret Telegraph Office.
