A PARK FOR EVERY SEASON
There is something for everyone at the Park, and each season offers a new and unique heritage experience. And don’t forget, every day you can enjoy an old-fashioned shopping experience at our Visitors Center Gift Shop and the ZCMI Mercantile. You’ll find the Utah’s best selection of souvenirs, children’s toys, candy, books, hand-made wares, every occasion gifts and everything else Utah!
Spring Season (April 12 to May 28)
The Park is open every day and there’s plenty to do! Enjoy the Park from the comfort of one of our replica trains and learn about the settlement of the West, seven days a week. You can also visit a selection of our historic buildings, which are open and interpreted from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday.Summer Living History Season (May 29 to September 6)
History and heritage surround you at This Is The Place Heritage Park. Our living history season kicks off with Baby Animal Days, one of our guest’s favorite experiences! The Heritage Village is open each day from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Monday through Saturday, enjoy all the Park has to offer; pony rides, the Native American Village, artisan trade demonstrations and much more. Each Sunday you can enjoy a historic tour on one of our three replica trains and a self-guided tour through the Park. All the natural beauty comes free of charge!Fall Season (September 7 to October 29)
As summer changes to a kaleidoscope of autumn colors, the Park transitions from our Living History season to one that focuses on the heart of the Village and offers your family some of our favorite activities! Enjoy the trains, pony rides, petting corral, playground and a selection of historic homes, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Everyday, seven days a week from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm enjoy a historic tour of the Park on one of our three replica trains, and a self-guided walking tour in the Village.Winter Season (October 30 to Spring Season 2011)
This is one of our most exciting seasons! Enjoy the Park during daytime hours by riding one of our replica trains or enjoy the Village with a self-guided walking tour. Little Haunts is October 14, 15 and 16th. Bring your little ghosts and goblins for Trick or Treat in the Village. Ride the ponies, the mini-train, play games and make crafts! Evenings come alive with Haunted Village beginning October 8 through October 30 and Candlelight Christmas beginning November 26 through December 30. To plan your visit, please view the Event Calendar for specific information on hours of operation for these special events, and also for dates, as we will be closed on a select number of days during Candlelight Christmas.
