PIONEER DAYS

(2013: JULY 24)

This Is The Place for Fun!

Bring the entire family and join us for a fun-filled Pioneer Days at This Is The Place Heritage Park!

The Park is everything you need for a few hours or an entire day making family memories. It’s a kick-up-your-heels good time ushered in by a country breakfast at the Huntsman Hotel, then a patriotic flag ceremony.

Come hungry and try your luck at the Watermelon Eating Contest, but don’t forget to lay low during the Train Robbery…we hear they might be taking hostages! If that doesn’t get your heart pumping, Dr. Quackenbush and one of his secret potions will!

Join in the fun of the Pioneer Parade down Main Street, led by our very own oxen-team, Booth and Gibbs. Everyone is welcome!

The Candy Cannon will ignite and you’ll want to be lined up on Main Street as this is one of the all time favorites at the Park.

Games Galore! Can you remember the last time you won a stick horse race or beat your cousins in a game of tug-of-war? Come prepared to have some fun playing old-fashioned and OH-SO-FUN games on Pioneer Days!

And the day wouldn’t be complete without the Park favorites; panning for gold, pony and train rides and special craft projects, created just for this event.

Great Shopping at the Visitor Center…satisfy your sweet tooth at the ZCMI Store and stay cool with an ice-cream or slushy at the Ice Cream Parlor. The grub is always great at the Huntsman Hotel…and the hospitality is better than dessert!

Join us Saturday, July 21 and Tuesday, July 24 from 9am-11am for breakfast at the Huntsman Hotel! $5 per person.
