Relief Society Hall

  • Representational Building 1860's
  • Replicated in 2001

The Relief Society, organized for women in 1842 by the first LDS Church leader Joseph Smith, provided food, clothing, and other necessities for the needy. Relief Society groups in early Utah communities often had separate buildings constructed next to church meetinghouses. The design of this replica was based on the architecture of original Relief Society halls located throughout the state.
