Orson Pratt Observatory

The original of this building was constructed by the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey, a federal program which made scientific observations. The original building was located on Temple Square in Salt Lake City, UT, and the replica is named for Orson Pratt, a religious leader and scientist in Utah.
