Manti Fort Gristmill

The original gristmill was built in Manti City, UT by Danish immigrants. Grist mills used large mill stones to grind down grains like wheat or corn into usable flour. This was essential for settlers to be able to make bread, which was a staple in the pioneer diet of the 19th century.
