Madsen Furniture Company

Danish immigrants Hans and Louise Madsen built a furniture store in Salt Lake City, UT, where they used traditional Scandinavian crafting techniques in their work. The Madsens came to Utah Territory via the railroad, which allowed them to use imported materials at a fraction of the cost.
