This Is The Place Fort
Have you ever built a fort to play or hide in? Maybe you made it from blankets or old boxes? Regardless of what materials you might use, forts and fort-building have been a part of human history for thousands of years. Whether a medieval castle or city wall, humans have built forts as places of safety, for trade and commerce, or as a foundation for civilization and government. These early settlements often grew to become large, prosperous communities and cities.
At the This Is The Place Fort you can watch rope making demonstrations, participate in rifle drills, practice building with life-size lincoln logs, and learn more about the role forts played in the settlement of Utah.
