This is the Place Monument

This Is The Place Monument, dedicated in 1947, honors the diverse peoples and cultures intrinsic to Utah’s founding and identity. Sculptor Mahonri Young---commissioned to create a centenary monument honoring Utah’s early pioneers---envisioned, designed, and forged the exquisite memorial that anchors the Park today.
