B.F. Johnson Saddlery

B.F. Johnson emigrated to Utah in 1848 where he established himself as a prominent business owner. He specialized in leather goods and he readily purchased animal hides to meet the demand for tanned leather products. His leather shop was located in downtown Salt Lake City, UT.

Did you know? It’s thought that the 1849 California Gold Rush brought close to $250,000 or 1/4 of a million dollars to the Salt Lake City Valley
