Emery County Cabin

This cabin was originally built by Joseph Lund, and later purchased by Danish immigrant Casper Christensen as a family home. The cabin, located in the isolated and sparsely populated Emery County, became its primary post office, with Christensen serving as postmaster.

Did you know? The Old Spanish Trail passed through Emery County. From 1598 to about 1850, the trail provided a route from Santa Fe, New Mexico, to Los Angeles, California, for trade and travel. The trail, however, is over a thousand years old, following old Native American trade routes.
