Jewkes-Draper Home

English immigrant Samuel Jewkes operated a sawmill and a gristmill in Fountain Green, UT. The family home was built of timber and adobe, and the Jewkes family lived there until 1879 when it was sold to a man named Henry Draper.

Did you know? Samuel Jewkes brought the first threshing machine to Castle Valley. Threshing machines reduced the amount of labor necessary in harvesting by mechanically separating grains from stalks and husks.
