Pioneer Children’s Memorial

For decades, Days of ‘47 Inc, has honored the memory of Utah pioneers with special events and activities around July 24th. To honor them year-round, especially children who lost their lives crossing the plains in wagons and handcarts, the Pioneer Children’s Memorial was born.

This Is The Place Foundation and Days of ’47 Inc. present this tribute to the children whose lives were lost in their quest for a place of safety and peace. Funded entirely by private contributions, this unique combination of bronze statuary, stone memorials, and a unique water feature surrounded by beautiful landscaping is dedicated to remembering their sacrifice, bravery and dreams.
