Tantalizing food and festive holiday entertainment await you as you stroll through wooden vendor booths nestled amid the magical backdrop of This Is The Place Heritage Park.
Bring your dogs for a bark in the Park for our annual Dog Day of Summer. Admission is $5 per person with a portion of admission going to support animal shelters and other animal friendly organizations.
In 2007 while attending the inauguration of the Heritage Park trains, Jon Huntsman got so excited about what was happening at the Park he offered to provide a free day each year including free ice cream. For ten years HUNTSMAN DAY has been a cherished tradition - over 50,000 people have enjoyed the Park for free. Come join us when Jon and Karen provide a FREE day, FREE ice cream, and unlimited FUN!
Intermountain All-Women Hoop Dance Competition
This is the first ever event of its kind. Nowhere else in the world will you be able to see all-female contestants hoop dance for the people, for the prize money, and for the title; this is the place.
Enjoy a day of good old-fashioned FUN while you celebrate the birth of our great Nation! Join us as we raise the red, white and blue, have a watermelon eating contest, play games and fire off the Candy Cannon!

Mountain man camp
This Is The Place Heritage Park will host a living history encampment. Come and get a glimpse of how our forefathers lived before the Pioneers came to Utah.
Utah's celebration of Pioneer Day won't be complete without a visit to This Is The Place Heritage Park! In addition of our everyday line-up of FUN, we add even more on this special day we celebrate the founding of UTAH!
